Seeking Festival of the Arts Volunteers
OKC’s Annual Festival of the Arts is one of our community’s largest events – attracting more than 750,000 over six days, highlighting 200 artists from around the United States, all in an open, free environment that everyone can enjoy.
This year we have the opportunity to not just attend, but to be a part of the 5,000 volunteers that make this exciting event happen. On Thursday, April 27, 2017 we will be staffing beverage tents around the festival, assisting festival goers with their purchases of water, soft drinks and beer.
Proceeds from the event go to support programs of the Arts Council, a variety of free and low-cost cultural events that reach nearly a million residents and visitors each year – everything from Opening Night on New Year’s Eve to Sunday Evening Concerts at the Myriad Gardens in the summer, and much, much more.
So we will provide “We are NWOKC” shirts to our volunteers and wear them to show that we actively support the Arts in our Community.
I am attaching a sign-up form to help you easily register for the time of your choice — just a quick four-hour shift and you are encouraged to invite friends, colleagues, and family members to join in the fun. You will be invited to a short “Beer School” the week before. It is an exciting event to be a part of!
If you would like to volunteer, but cannot do it on April 27 – please let me know.
Thank you so much for representing us and volunteering for this great community event!
